Georges had a busy day at the meet. He finished 2nd in the Long Jump setting a new PR of 22' 3" and was 10th in the Triple Jump going 40'6". We caught up with Georges and Coach Senter to discuss his busy, but very successful outing.
DSFL: Coach Senter, Georges obviously had a great day today winning the HJ. What did you see out on the runway in terms of his performance today?
Coach Senter: I saw a athlete who was patient and focused. Georges had a chance to hit a new personal best today and probably will in meets to come. He always attracts a gallery of people when he jumps, its quite remarkable just how high he can jump!
DSFL: What's Georges greatest strength? What does he need to work on in the name of constant improvement?
Coach Senter Response: His greatest strengths are being able to completely focus on his event and making tweaks and adjustments from past mistakes. If he continues to hone in on form. He could jump 7'0", easily.
DSFL: Georges, were you pleased with today's performance? Where do you see Track and Field taking you?
Georges: I was very happy I cleared my personal record. If I could have cleared 6'9", I would've been even happier. I can see myself jumping competitively in college. I am more than ready to begin working my way to the next level.
